Hi, I'm Milkshake! My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard with these gorgeous BLUE EYES - seriously, prepare to fall in love. I'm a 1-year-old, 35 pounds Australian Shepherd mix who's smart, chill, dog-friendly, and totally housebroken. I love being near my people and can get anxious when left alone, but I'm working on it! I don't mind the crate, but let's be honest... I'd much rather be wherever YOU are. I've definitely still got some puppy quirks, but I'm not wild or high-energy - just playful and eager to please. I also need a gentle home. I think something happened to me when I was very little, because sometimes if a hand moves too fast or a voice gets loud suddenly, I flinch or get nervous. I take correction beautifully, but if someone sounds angry, it truly hurts my feelings. I'm a sensitive soul who just wants love, safety, and kind people. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
