Meet Poppy! Poppy is a 3-year-old American Bully mix weighing about 50 pounds who came to us as a stray, with her daughter, Peep. This sweet girl is laid-back, affectionate, and incredibly easygoing. Poppy is happiest lounging on a comfy couch (as long as it’s low enough for her to climb up!) or waddling over for some love and attention. She has a calm, gentle presence that makes her the perfect companion for anyone looking for a relaxed, loving pup. Poppy could benefit from losing a little weight to help her feel her best and move more comfortably, but overall she is happy, healthy, and ready for a home of her own. As a “micro” bully mix, Poppy may be more prone to certain medical considerations like joint or breathing issues down the line. She may need a little extra care and regular veterinary support—but in return, she will give you endless love and devotion. Poppy seems to do best with smaller dogs, and we require meet-and-greets with any potential canine siblings to ensure a great fit. We’re not yet sure how she does with cats.
