About Ghetti

Ghetti is an American Bully, around 2-3 years old, with the classic bully charm compressed into a playful, 35-40lb package. She was picked up running stray in West Virginia, and her journey since then has been a blend of shy quirks and quiet progress. Ghetti starts off wary—especially around men and new people—but with the right amount of patience and understanding, she blooms into an affectionate, goofy cuddle buddy who might just surprise you with her lap-dog tendencies. Her foster home has worked through her initial fear with time and consistency, and Ghetti now gravitates toward the man in the home after her walls have come down. She’ll need a calm household—best suited for someone who can advocate for her boundaries and is willing to take things slow, especially if you or someone in your home is male. If you have another dog, a gentle, laid-back male dog could be the right fit; however, cats and small animals are a no-go, and respectful kids over 10 would be best. No loud, busy environments or dog parks for Ghetti—she prefers walks in quiet parks, gentle hikes, cozy time on the sofa, tasty food puzzles, and thoughtful structure over chaos. If guests come over, she’ll appreciate a comfortable crate and a little space. If you’re patient, protective, and ready to keep her world calm and safe, she’ll pay back the effort tenfold. Ghetti offers unwavering loyalty for the right person willing to put her comfort first. Free ongoing support from the rescue’s certified behavior consultant is included. Ready to see her silly side?
