Meet Luna! 🐾 Hi there! My name is Luna, and I’m a 9-week-old black Lab mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I’ve been having so much fun in my foster home with two Labs, and now I’m ready to find my forever family! Because I’m still such a young puppy, I’m looking for a home that has experience with puppies and understands that I’m still learning everything about the world. I’ll need a patient, committed family who is ready to help me grow through training, structure, and lots of love. I’m working hard on my potty training and improving every day! Like most puppies, I can get excited and a little mouthy when I play, but I’m already getting better with guidance from my foster family. I absolutely love other dogs and would do best with a playful canine companion who can keep up with my energy and continue teaching me good dog manners. I take corrections well and enjoy learning from my furry friends! I’m full of playful energy, but when I get overstimulated, I do well settling down in my crate and taking a nice break. And once I’ve burned off some energy? I turn into a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle and be close to my humans. They need frequent potty breaks, playtime, socialization and often a mid day meal. Please consider your daytime schedule before applying for a puppy. SPAY/NEUTER POLICY: Our adoption fee covers the puppies spay or neuter at our vet in Libertyville. If the puppy is adopted prior to the spay or neuter being done you will be required to bring the puppy back to our vet within 30 days for the surgery. ADOPTION FEE: $450.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
