Please meet Talia, whose name means "dew from heaven" and we can certainly agree that this girlie pop is heaven sent! Talia has quite the story to tell, and she is looking for the perfect place to hang her leash forever. Talia has been spayed, microchipped, and received a clean bill of health from our vet. Here is what we know about TALIA: - Talia is 11 weeks old now, and weighs @ 18lbs. She is a big girl pup with an even bigger heart! - Our best guess on breed mash ups based on her size, coloring, and personality traits is that Talia is a Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix. She likely has some other breed pixie dust mixed in there as well, but we think she is an absolute showstopper and her markings are gorgeous. With her suspected breed mix and current size, we do believe that Talia will be on the large side when full grown, likely 60+ lbs. - Talia had a rough beginning - she was found in a ditch with her siblings all covered in mange. She was rescued by foster mom and has since been thriving in foster care and receiving all of the love and attention a puppy deserves! Her mange has been treated - check out her luscious coat that's almost fully grown in - and she has no long term or lasting effects from it thank goodness. Our vet has given her a clean bill of health and she's now ready for adoption. She is a happy, healthy, and rambunctious pup who will need a family up to the fun challenges of puppyhood! - Talia is very smart but is very much still a puppy so she will need lots of training and reinforcements to learn proper doggy manners and behavior when she gets to her forever home. Foster mom reports that Talia is as sweet as can be. She isn't a barker, and would make a wonderful family companion. - Talia is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has received a clean bill of health. She is doing really well with her housebreaking and leash training! - Talia currently lives happily in her foster home with other dogs and gets along just fine with them. We think she would do fine as an only dog or with a playmate who could handle some puppy playtime! She loves to play tug of war, and would love an active family who would consistently engage her. - Talia hasn't been exposed to cats yet, but we think with the proper introduction she would do just fine! - Talia would make a great family dog for kids 5+. She would love to grow up with a family of her own. She is fun and playful, but any young children would need to know how to respect doggy boundaries, especially while she is still a puppy and could accidentally knock little ones over.
