Clara was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Tennessee. Her owner was suffering from poor health and was no longer able to properly care for her many animals, so she made the brave decision to ask for help in finding new homes for her cats. Clara is EXTREMELY outgoing, social, & friendly. She knows all the tricks to get people's attention - head butts, gentle paws on the glass door, big Puss n Boots eyes, and loud scene-stealing purrs. If those moves don't work, she will hurl herself down and roll about to show off her belly, which is totally irresistible and gets pretty much everyone to stop what they're doing and pet her. Young Clara is also very playful, and while she prefers for a human being to be involved in play, she will also joyfully bat around fuzzy mouse toys, spring toys, and jingle balls.
