About Elderberry And Plum
Black-and-white Elderberry and his grey-and-white brother Plum, about 2 years old, are two of four cats found abandoned in a vacated apartment. (The other two, Blueberry and Grape, are posted separately.) Naturally, they were terrified about the ordeal, but, once they figured out that they were safe in their foster home, their colorful natures emerged. Their foster mom describes their play as downright hilarious. They are all super playful and quite vocal-- they talk to humans and to each other as if they had their own language. They eat together, sleep together, play together, and even groom each other, all while being very social to the people in their foster family. While all are friendly. Their foster mom says that Plum is probably the friendliest of the four. Like most cats, they would be happiest in an interactive household where they will get lots of play. We have not observed them with children or dogs, but we think they would probably do well with pretty much any kid or dog who knows how to treat a cat respectfully. Elderberry and Plum play well with each other and get along well with each other, but they are not so closely bonded that they cannot be adopted separately, unlike Blueberry and Grape, who are bonded pair and will not be adopted separately. Elderberry and Plum are easy cats who would make a wonderful choice for a first-time adopter or experienced cat person alike. They have been neutered, are current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Their adopter will receive their medical records. They're being fostered in Marblehead. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and a total adoption fee of $395 that helps us continue rescuing cats in need-- a bargain for a pair of new best friends who will be devoted companions for life. Cats can live past 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps us match cats with the right adopters.
