Joviespecial Needs
AvailableJovie is a mixed breed baby female dog of medium size currently in Mount Pleasant, SC. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Jovie is working on housetraining and will thrive in a supportive home willing to accommodate her back leg challenges. Her playful energy and resilience set her apart.
About Joviespecial Needs
Jovie came to the rescue as the tiniest pup in her litter and needed time to get a handle on her mobility challenges. After visits with orthopedic vets, she was diagnosed with severe luxating patellas and a muscle abnormality in her back legs. Surgery wasn’t the right option, so Jovie is being placed as a hospice puppy with a focus on comfort and quality of life. She doesn’t walk like other dogs—hopping is her thing—but it doesn’t slow her down or dampen her spirit. She loves being outside, playing with other dogs, and all things puppy fun like toys and bones. Manners are still a work-in-progress, including potty and leash training, but she does great in her crate and sleeps through the night. Jovie is food motivated, eager to learn, and recently found her voice, so she isn’t suited for apartment living. A home with carpet, minimal stairs, or someone able to carry her would be best. Jovie is looking for a family ready to appreciate her resilience and commit to giving her a joyful life. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
