Maple is a 9-month old Black and Tan Coonhound mix, and is everything you want a goofy hound. At 46lbs, she is a little underweight, but we expect she'll be a large dog when fully grown (60sih pounds). Like most hounds, Maple is sensitive, affectionate, super dog and kid friendly, and energetic. She loves to play with her foster brother, loves playing fetch with her foster parents, and also enjoys a good nap (see picture three!). She is almost 100% housetrained (occasional accident if the dog door isn't open and we don't pay attention), and while she does not like the crate, she will go in at night and when her foster family leaves the house. She is a curious puppy and led by her nose, so keeping her secure when you're not present is important for her safety. Maple's perfect forever family has a secure, fenced-in yard, another dog pal for her to play with, and are active - Maple loves her morning and afternoon walks, and it helps expend her puppy energy. At night, Maple likes to sprawl out on a dog bed with a bone or have some cuddle time with one of the humans. Maple will be spayed the week of 4/13 and ready for adoption!
