Meet Buck! Buck is a 60lb, 8-year-old, Australian Shepherd who found his way to the shelter through no fault of his own, and he’s ready to start his next chapter with a loving family. This handsome boy still has plenty of pep in his step and a medium-to-high energy level, so he enjoys playtime, walks, and chances to stretch his legs. According to his previous owner, Buck is house trained and has experience living in a home. He does well with young to middle-aged children and has a friendly, social personality with other dogs—he’s the type who will happily invite other pups to play when he meets them. Buck can get a little worried when left alone for long periods and may experience some separation anxiety, so he’d do best with a family that can give him plenty of companionship and reassurance. He’s also not a fan of storms, and like many dogs, appreciates a safe, cozy place to relax when the weather gets loud. Overall, Buck is a loving, playful companion who just needs a second chance. With patience, attention, and a warm home, he’s sure to be a loyal best friend for years to come. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only.
