Meet Penny! 🐾 Penny is a 67lbs, 5-years-old, APBT mix who is looking for a patient and loving home to call her own. After being surrendered to the shelter, she was understandably timid and nervous at first. But with time, consistency, and a gentle approach, Penny has truly come out of her shell. Once she feels safe, her affectionate personality shines—she absolutely adores attention, loves to snuggle, and wants nothing more than to be close to her person. According to her previous owner, Penny is house trained and crate trained, making her a great candidate for a smooth transition into a new home. She has a medium to high energy level and enjoys staying active, whether that’s going for walks, playing, or just being part of your daily routine. Penny would do best as the only dog in the home, as she didn’t get along with another dog previously. She has shown curiosity around cats, so slow introductions would be important if there are feline friends in the household. The good news is that Penny loves children and does especially well with younger kids, making her a wonderful family companion. With patience and understanding, Penny will reward you with endless love, loyalty, and plenty of cozy snuggles. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only.
