Meet Scarborough! 🐾 A 50lb, 1-year-old, Boxer mix looking for the right home to help him thrive. Surrendered to the shelter due to toy-related aggression with other dogs, Scarborough has shown that he has a lot of potential in the right environment. According to his previous owner, he was generally able to coexist with the other two dogs in the home, but could become possessive over toys, so he’ll do best with an experienced adopter who can manage and continue working on this behavior. Scarborough is house trained and does fairly well in a crate, making him a great candidate for a structured home. He has a medium to high energy level, so he’ll enjoy regular exercise, playtime, and enrichment to keep him happy and balanced. He does well with older children and would likely thrive in a home where everyone understands his needs and respects his boundaries. Scarborough may do best as the only dog or in a home that can carefully manage interactions around high-value items like toys. With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, Scarborough has the potential to be a loyal and fun companion. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only.
