Ursa is a beautiful 2-year old female Dilute Tortoiseshell (Calico?) kitty who was surrendered by her family on March 31, 2026 along with her companion (Chip) who had shared their home. Ursa has a pale gray/beige longhaired coat in Dilute Tortoiseshell/Calico pattern, a long fluffy tail, and an adorable gray/beige face with golden eyes, a pink nose, and extra-long white whiskers. This little sweetheart has a lovable, outgoing personality. Ursa was a bit subdued for the first few days in her double-wide cage, and we know that she was missing the freedom of her home. Within a few days, Ursa showed us the 'social butterfly' side of her personality and was playfully rolling over to beg for belly rubs. Ursa was given vaccinations and Pyrantel dewormer on April 1, 2026. These photos of Ursa were taken on April 4th 2026 (and one photo taken on the evening of April 6th when HSOV Volunteer Jennie Payton Sherrard held her for out-of-cage pictures). Ursa was taken to a spay/neuter clinic on April 6, 2026 and was determined to have already been spayed when she was examined by the veterinarian. Ursa was given rabies vaccine while she was at the clinic. She weighed 8.8 lbs that day. Since Ursa is spayed, she could leave our shelter immediately with an approved HSOV adoption application. Ursa is ready to find another loving home either by herself or with her little companion Chip.
