This sweet, gentle girl has barely made a peep since arriving in foster care, and she’s already figured out the stairs, the leash, and the feeding routine like a total pro. She loves attention and affection, but is equally happy entertaining herself — she just prefers to keep you in her sightline. Outdoors, Salsa is curious and confident. She met several medium and large dogs on a hike recently with zero aggression, and when neighborhood dogs bark at her from their yards, she simply ignores them. Squirrels are still on her radar, but she’s learning that the chase isn’t happening. At home, she has free rein to sniff, explore, and settle in — and settle in she does. Her one ongoing lesson? Countertop boundaries. She’s tall, the food is right there, and honestly, her foster family admits they’re learning too.
