Meet Bella (Beagle) * MN. We are currently accepting applications for Bella. Bella is 8 years of age. She will be celebrating her birthday on 07.22.2026. She is a very beautiful, Tricolored Beagle. She is house-trained, crate-trained, (although not needed, very loyal to her human and a true snuggler/cuddler. Bella had the perfect family, however, the children, as well as the husband is severely allergic to Bella. Hubby could handle it, however, the children are severely allergic and Bella could not be around them; she was sectioned off, away from the family most of the day. Mom and dad realized that this is not the life that they wanted for their furbaby and the decision to find her the perfect home began. They enlisted our help in obtaining and vetting applications on their behalf. Bella, at her last veterinarian visit was nearly 26# and considered slightly overweight. Doc recommended a 2-4# weight reduction. Of course, unable to partake in any family activities and outings...Bella put a few pounds on. AHFR is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFR is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue. Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia. All AHFR adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.
