About Buddy Ok

Make their next chapter their best one yet. Buddy is an affectionate, resilient Beagle searching for a loving family to call his own. After being surrendered by his previous owner and spending 40 days in a crate at a veterinary clinic, Buddy is ready for a fresh start in a patient, compassionate home. He thrives on routine and deeply enjoys outdoor adventures, especially leash walks in a securely fenced yard, as he’s known for visiting neighbors and occasionally borrowing things that aren’t his! This clever boy has worked through past resource guarding with training and patience, and hasn’t had any incidents in the last year. Buddy would do best as the only dog in the home but is non-reactive to cats. Ideal adopters are those with a securely fenced yard and someone who is home much of the day—either working from home or a stay-at-home parent. Buddy needs time to adjust, so a family willing to provide a steady, loving environment for 6-8 weeks is essential to help him feel comfortable. All dogs through Almost Home Foster & Rescue are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You’ll also benefit from the expertise and heart of a rescue passionate about giving dogs like Buddy a second chance. Your new best friend is just one click away.
