AvailableBenny is a mixed-breed terrier/hound with a medium build and a short, white and golden coat. He is an adult, neutered male and is up to date on vaccinations. Benny is fully house trained and currently lives in Minneapolis, MN. While he does not have special needs, he does require daily eye drops due to glaucoma. Slow intros are best for him with other dogs.
About Benny
Benny is a Sato mix from Puerto Rico who has survived quite a bit: time on the street, a stretch at a shelter, and now a quiet home life in Minneapolis. He’s a sweet-natured, people-loving boy who thrives on butt scratches, warm naps with his favorite humans, and free access to the house—the kennel makes him anxious. Leaving him alone can still trigger some nerves, but he’s learning that goodbyes are never permanent now. Benny loves walks and does quite well on a leash, only occasionally getting excited enough to bark or pull when other dogs are around. He’s friendly with most dogs if introductions are slow, and actually prefers calmer females. Benny would also be content as an only dog. He lights up around people, and older kids are a good match—just keep in mind his sight isn’t perfect lately. After a rough start and some vision issues due to glaucoma, Benny gets daily eye drops and they help a lot. He’s finished heartworm treatment recently and will be re-tested in early spring. Benny isn’t a fan of Minnesota winters, but a good sweatshirt and a jacket suit him just fine. He loves toys, treats, and cozy cuddles. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
