We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Lulu, 5 years old, spayed female, French Bulldog, 26 pounds. She is in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS and able to transport once an adopter is approved. Lulu is a 5-year-old French Bulldog with a big personality packed into a compact, adorable body. After having a few different homes in her life, she’s ready to finally find the stability and love she deserves in a forever home that truly understands her. True to her breed, Lulu is full of charm—complete with the signature Frenchie grunts, silly antics, and a lovable, expressive temperament. She’s a low to moderate energy girl who enjoys playtime in short bursts but is just as happy lounging nearby, soaking up your attention. Her favorite thing? People. Lulu absolutely adores humans and will happily hand out kisses to everyone she meets—just ask her vet! In her current foster home, Lulu lives with multiple dogs and has shown that she does best with dogs her size or smaller. She’s recently started playing with a smaller dog and is beginning to show her fun, social side. Based on her past and current behavior, we think she would thrive best with a male canine companion rather than a female. Lulu is fully housebroken, does well in a crate, and has great house manners. She does not show signs of resource guarding or separation anxiety, and she’s not much of a barker. She walks okay on leash and enjoys getting out and about—just not for long distances or in extreme weather. Because of her flat-faced (brachycephalic) breed, Lulu is more sensitive to heat and cold and will need a home that understands her physical limitations. French Bulldogs can be prone to breathing and other medical issues as they age, so her future family should be prepared—both in awareness and financially—to provide for her long-term care. While she may never experience these issues, it’s important to go in informed and ready. We don’t have a history of Lulu with cats or young children, but based on her personality, we believe she would do well in a home with kids 10 and older who can respect her space and needs. At the end of the day, Lulu is a cuddly, quirky little character who just wants a person (or people) to call her own. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process.
