Meet Buttons! Buttons is a black French Bulldog, around 4 to 5 years old, who’s finally moving past a rough start and looking forward to a new chapter. Her earlier life was tough—caged and used for breeding, she missed out on affection and freedom. Still, she greets each day and new face with real joy and forgiveness. Since coming into foster care in Lafayette, CA, Buttons has improved steadily with better nutrition and medical care. Her coat is short and still recovering, but don’t mistake her for fragile—her personality is brighter than ever. She’s easygoing and affectionate, with enough athleticism to enjoy walks or car rides. She loves cuddling up and has a playful, silly streak that comes out when she’s comfortable. Buttons does well with other dogs, cats, and children, but like many Frenchies, can get mouthy during playtime. She will be spayed and ready for adoption once her skin continues to heal.
