Rashaba is a handsome, athletic, and capable Belgian Malinois mix (with a pending embark test) who came to Murci's Mission from SCRAPS. His name is Kurdish for Black Wind, which is a perfect description of this magnificent dog. He is 72lbs. Rashaba has an estimated birthdate of 10/10/2024. He is rowdy and dog social but plays hard and is a physcial dog. He is rough and tumble with people too, but also clearly knows commands such as sit, front, heel, kennel etc, so there is knowledge stored in his brain that may just take a little effort to unveil. He would be ok with children old enough to take a hit, and cats that are exceptionally dog savvy and won't run from him. He was able to greet an assessment cat in a eager manner, sniff on loose lead, and be called away. He is crate, leash, and car trained. He seems to be house trained but may need a little brush up after a lengthy stay in animal control. As we always say with our power breed and high drive dogs, with great power comes great responsibility. This dog is not an ego symbol or instagram prop. He's not going to be fun to adopt because you saw John Wick and think you're going to become reddit SpecOps from your mom's basement. Rasha will be the dog of a lifetime for someone who is ready to feel callouses form where the leash rests in the groove of their palm. There are no shortcuts. Just an incredible roadmap of hard work and hours spent together, learning and growing as a team. He will not thrive on anything less. Rashaba comes neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. His adoption fee is $200 and includes his leash, martingale collar, herm sprenger prong collar, harness, ID tag, food sample, medical records, and mandatory complimentary consultation with a behaviorist to help both parties ace the adoption.
