Some dogs come into rescue quietly... and then immediately wrap themselves around your heart. That's Starburst. This tiny girl may be small in size, but her spirit is enormous. At just about 1 year old and 31 lbs, Starburst has already lived through more than any dog should. She was found chained behind a home with several other dogs and somehow survived freezing conditions before animal control rescued her. When she arrived at the shelter, she was emaciated and covered in fleas — yet through it all, she never stopped being happy. Her tail still wiggles nonstop. Her trust in people never broke. And what everyone notices first? - Her adorable pure black tongue - Her tiny size - Her constant desire to be close to her humans Starburst is the definition of a love bug. She wants nothing more than to climb into your lap, soak up affection, and finally belong to someone who will never leave her behind again.
