This sweet 5-year-old Hound mix has quite the story, but through it all, her gentle spirit has never wavered. Lavender was found wandering the back roads between towns—malnourished, dirty, and clearly having fallen on hard times. But even then, her tail kept wagging and her heart stayed wide open. Today, Lavender is happy as can be and full of love. She’s truly a people dog—her favorite place is right by your side, and she’ll gladly follow you from room to room just to be close. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who soaks up affection like sunshine, she’s your girl. Lavender is the perfect size for just about any home, and at 5 years old, she’s the best of both worlds: past the puppy chaos but still with plenty of wonderful years ahead. She enjoys finding the coziest spot in the room to lounge, keeping a watchful (and relaxed) eye on her surroundings until something—usually a new scent—piques her curiosity. That hound nose loves to explore! She does well with cats, kids, and other dogs, though she hasn’t quite figured out how to play with her canine friends yet. Still, she coexists peacefully and has not a single mean bone in her body. Lavender is also potty-trained and crate-trained, making her an easy addition to a loving home. We may not know much about her past, but we know exactly what she deserves: a future filled with warmth, kindness, belly rubs, and all the comfy spots she could ever dream of.
