Meet Rebel Rebel is a 6 yr old 18 lb female King Charles Cavalier looking for her first ever home. Rebel spent 6 very neglectful years in a cage as a backyard breeder right here in Wisconsin and because of that, she has some specific needs in her forever home. She is great with other dogs her size and will benefit greatly from another gentle dog in her new home. A fully fenced yard is ideal for her safety. Rebel is shy and timid but with patience, understanding, kindness and gentle hands, she will bloom like a flower right before your eyes. She's very sweet and albeit scary at first, she craves and desires attention. Her favorite place in her foster home is on the couch where she gathers 'her babies' (stuffed toys) and strategically places them safely next to her on the couch to snooze the day away. Older, respectful children would be best for her as they are usually less scary than the younger ones. She is doing well going to the bathroom on potty pads and is learning to potty outside, but will need guidance and structure to continue her potty skills outdoors. She has never met cats, but due to her nature, it doesn't appear they would bother her.
