Meet Judy, a beautiful seal (brown/black mix) and white puppy from the Jetsons litter, with one blue eye and one brown eye that make her truly stand out. She is about 5 to 6 months old and currently weighs around 35 pounds. We expect she will mature into a medium-sized dog in the 45 to 60 pound range. Her breed mix is estimated to include Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd, possibly Cattle Dog, and likely one or two additional breeds. Judy and her siblings were originally found on the streets in Texas in need of care. Since entering foster, she has received proper veterinary care, good nutrition, and time to settle in, and her personality has continued to blossom more each day. Judy can be a little shy when first meeting new people or adjusting to a new environment, but she warms up quickly, especially with a few tasty snacks. She is very food motivated, which makes building trust with her easy and rewarding. Once she feels comfortable, her true personality shines through as a sweet, confident, goofy, and affectionate girl. After a few days in a new home, Judy really settles in and becomes a fun and loving companion. She enjoys snuggling, getting pets and belly rubs, and happily seeks out attention from her people. She also loves playing with other dogs, running around the yard, and sometimes chasing a ball. One of her favorite things is simply hanging out and watching everything going on around her. Judy has a nice moderate energy level. She enjoys playtime and activity but also knows how to relax and just be near her people. She has been a quiet and easygoing puppy overall and settles nicely after brief moments of curiosity about new sights or sounds. She has been doing well with crate time and house manners and has not shown destructive behavior. She keeps her space tidy and has adjusted nicely to her foster routine. Judy would do great in a home with another friendly dog to help her continue building confidence, but she will also do well with adopters who are patient and willing to give her a little time to settle in and continue her positive growth. Judy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines including DHPP, rabies, and bordetella. She is current on preventatives and has been cleared for adoption by the vet.
