Meet Jane, a stunning blue, tan, and white puppy from the Jetsons litter who is still patiently waiting for her forever family. She is about 5–6 months old and currently weighs around 35 pounds. We expect she will mature into a medium-sized dog, likely in the 45–60 pound range. Her breed mix is a best guess and may include Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd, possibly some Cattle Dog, and likely a few other breeds mixed in. Jane and her siblings were originally found on the streets in Texas underweight and in need of care. Since arriving in foster, she has received proper nutrition, veterinary care, and time to decompress, and she has absolutely blossomed. Jane is a playful, social girl who truly enjoys the company of other dogs. She loves to wrestle, interact, and engage with her canine friends and would likely thrive in a home with another dog to help continue building her confidence and social skills. She plays enthusiastically but reads other dogs well and knows when to take a break, often grabbing a bone and settling into her spot on the couch or her dog bed. With people, Jane is sweet and affectionate, though she can be a little shy at first in new situations. Give her a little time, a few tasty snacks, and she warms up quickly, showing her loving and playful side. Like many puppies, she will need a few days, or sometimes a bit longer, to fully settle into a new home and reveal her happy, goofy, joyful personality. Once comfortable, she enjoys meeting new people, leans in for pets, and happily rolls over for belly rubs. Her big, expressive ears give her that classic shepherd look and perfectly match her sweet, attentive nature. She is generally a quiet puppy, only occasionally barking when something catches her attention, and settles quickly. Her energy level is moderate. She enjoys playtime and activity but is just as happy relaxing nearby with her people. She is also very food motivated, which makes her a great candidate for continued training. Jane has been doing well with crate time and household routines in foster care. She keeps her space clean, has good manners for her age overall. Jane is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines including DHPP, rabies, and bordetella. She is current on preventatives and has been cleared for adoption by the vet.
