Mama
AvailableMama is a calico female Domestic Short Hair, almost two years old, living in Inver Grove Heights, MN. She is a spayed adult cat with a medium build. Mama is vaccinated and has special needs, as she is FIV positive. Her personality reflects her gentle approach to life and her journey from outdoors to a foster home.
About Mama
Mama spent last summer outside caring for her three kittens, gradually becoming comfortable enough with her fosters to venture inside. She’s still shy and needs time to warm up, but treats and slow introductions with a gentle hand help her feel safe. Catnip and silvervine bring out her playful streak, making her act like a silly kitten again, and she enjoys feathers and kicker toys. Mama likes having cozy spots to hide and seek out warmth from heaters or big comfy chairs—though she prefers not to share her chair. With her background, she values a peaceful environment, especially if adopted with her daughter, but she can also thrive solo with patience and kindness. Good with her kittens and tolerant of other outdoor cats, Mama is FIV positive, so she must stay indoors. Window views and a cat tree will keep her happy. She’s devoted to her kibbies but will even approach for wet food. If you can offer Mama understanding and a calm space, she’ll reward you with quiet companionship and moments of true affection.
