True to his name, he’s all about warmth and comfort — the kind of dog who naturally settles into your routine and makes everyday life feel a little cozier. Daily Routine Oven Mitt keeps things simple. He starts his day with a short morning walk, which he genuinely enjoys but doesn’t need to be long or strenuous. After that, he slips right into relax-and-follow-you mode. He’s happy to nap, lounge, and keep you company while you work, do chores, or unwind. He eats on a consistent schedule with meals in the morning and evening, and otherwise is content just being part of whatever is happening around him. At night, he loves nothing more than curling up in bed with his people — he’s absolutely a snuggle-next-to-you kind of dog. Personality Oven Mitt is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and easy to love. When he first arrived, he took a little time to settle in and learn the routine, but once he did, his gentle and loving personality quickly came through. He is very comfortable and relaxed in the home and has a calm, reassuring presence. He’s a devoted companion who enjoys being close to his people and will happily follow you from room to room just to stay nearby. His affectionate nature and soft, easygoing temperament make him the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. Social Life Oven Mitt has a gentle, friendly demeanor with children and does well around them. He is also tolerant of other dogs and can coexist nicely, though he’s not overly playful or dependent on canine companionship. He would do well either as a solo dog soaking up all the attention or sharing a home with another calm, respectful dog. Energy Level & Exercise If you’re looking for a dog who enjoys a daily walk but doesn’t need constant activity, Oven Mitt fits the bill perfectly. As long as he gets one good walk each day, he leans much more toward the couch-potato side of the spectrum. He has occasional playful moments, but overall he’s happiest relaxing, napping, and spending time with his people. Home Habits Oven Mitt is generally very well-behaved in the home. He may bark occasionally at normal household noises or activity, but it is not excessive. He is not destructive and does not show any biting tendencies. He’s an easy, low-maintenance companion who prefers comfort and closeness over chaos. What Makes Him Special What truly sets Oven Mitt apart is his combination of sweetness and simplicity. He’s one of those rare dogs who just fits seamlessly into your life — low drama, deeply loving, and incredibly devoted. He doesn’t ask for much beyond a comfortable place to rest and people to be near, and in return he offers steady companionship and endless affection. Favorite Thing Oven Mitt’s favorite thing in the world is being close to his people. He’ll quietly follow you from room to room and then immediately settle in for a nap wherever you land — usually as close as physically possible. There’s something very endearing about the way he gently inserts himself into your day, making every moment feel a little warmer just by being there.
