About Chief
Meet Chief, a four-year-old Golden Retriever who has truly blossomed thanks to plenty of time and patience in foster care. When Chief first arrived, he was anxious and unsure, but consistent work with his foster and trainer brought out his best qualities. True to his breed, Chief clings tightly to his people and gives his heart fully once that bond forms. Chief is sharp, energetic, and needs regular mental and physical engagementāthink agility, nose work, or something to keep his clever brain busy. This isnāt optional for him; he thrives when he has a job to do. He does exhibit some resource guarding and isnāt comfortable with confinement, but his training has helped him make real progress on these fronts. He would do best in a home without young children or other pets. There could be exceptions for another dog, but only after careful consideration. Chiefās sweet, funny, and affectionate personality shines with the right structure, and whoever brings him home will quickly discover just how lovable he is. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
