Meet Luffy! Luffy is a wonderful, extremely intelligent 7 month old border collie! His date of birth is September 7 th , 2025. He has a very kind temperament and strong focus. He loves people and has zero behavior issues, no toy or food aggression. He is a little shy around new people and other dogs at 1 st but soon warms up, and always shows a desire to play! He plays fine with my girl Lexi and is ready for a nap after! He is house trained, he will do a little whining and stand by the door when he needs to go out! Luffy is crate trained and will sleep through the night in it. He does know commands as sit, stay, down, roll over, drop it, and down. He will also sit and wait when I put his food down, until I tell him ‘Ok’. He is quick learner, so his new family can continue to teach him more fun commands! Luffy has not been around young children, but when previously walked past a playground with children, he would get excited and whine to go play with them. He has a strong prey drive and will try to chase cats, squirrels and birds when on a walk. He will need a little more training on the leash. Because of his high drive we recommend a family without toddlers and cats! Luffy will come with a small dog bed and all his precious toys, and lots of loving! He needs a family who understands the needs of a young border collie, plenty of exercise and toy tossing! Luffy is up to date with vaccines, on heart worm preventive, and microchipped. He will also be adopted out with a neuter contract. Luffy is being fostered in Horntown VA, near Chincoteague Island VA.
