Meet Penny Penny is a 1-year-old Pit Bull who was found as a stray and arrived at the shelter very thin and dealing with an ear infection. The good news is that she’s now receiving the care she needs and is already starting to feel much better. Penny has a sweet and expressive personality, and just like some of our other pups, she has an adorable grin when she’s excited. While she can be a little shy at first, she warms up with patience and gentle encouragement. During dog introductions, Penny showed that she is interested in other dogs and enjoys play, but she prefers friends who match her comfort level. When meeting Cressida, who is a very energetic puppy, Penny was curious but a bit unsure once the play got very rough. However, when she met Bruno, whose play style is a little calmer and less overwhelming, Penny became much more confident and happily tried to engage in play. Because of this, Penny would likely do best with dogs who have a similar or more relaxed play style, or with slow introductions that allow her to build confidence.
