About Cade
Cade has waited nearly four years for the right home, and heās still holding out for it. This 5-year-old, 90-pound American Bulldog was picked up after being dumped out of a car but hasnāt let that rough start define him. Cade is happiest sprawled belly-up on a sofa, soaking up the warmth and safety of home. He warms up fastest to women, but if a new man gives him some space and time, heāll eventually count you as a loyal friend. In fact, Cadeās close with the guys in his foster family once he knows them, and heās up for any outdoor adventure youāll throw his wayāespecially hiking, swimming, or strutting around with the biggest stick in the park. Heās independent but wants his people close by, happy to hang out on his own or come over for an occasional lap rest or butt scratch. Heās house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Cade is an incredibly quick studyāheās mastered multiple commands, walks nicely on a loose leash, is recall and e-collar trained, and is eager to earn treats. Youāll want to keep an eye on treats; heās food motivated and drool is almost guaranteed. He loves mental stimulation, bones, squeaky toys, and a bit of tug of war. Cade gets along well with most dogs his size or smaller, but he wants a cat-free home (heāll gladly give chase). Heās also shown he can be gentle with babies and young children. If you have American Bulldog experience and want a loyal, playful, protective companion with a massive heart, Cade could be your guy. Out-of-area adopters are welcome but must come to Los Angeles for a meet-and-greet. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
