Meet Zelda — and no, she’s not showing her teeth… she’s smiling! Zelda is an adorable, approximately 6-year-old tri-color terrier mix who may be tiny at just 10 pounds, but her heart is absolutely huge. She’s the definition of a perfect lap dog—sweet, snuggly, and happiest when she’s curled up right next to her person, soaking in all the love she can get. This little girl loves her toys and will happily keep herself entertained, though she’d much rather invite you to join in the fun. Zelda is very people-friendly and truly thrives on companionship, making her an ideal match for a home where she can be part of the daily love and attention. While she enjoys being the center of your world, Zelda could also do well with a calm, confident dog who can help her feel secure and show her the routine. She’s crate trained (though she doesn’t need it), housebroken, and even knows how to use a potty pad—making her an easy addition to your home. Her experience with children is unknown, but her gentle and affectionate personality suggests she would likely do well with respectful kids who understand her small size. We offer a $15 discount for adopters who pay by cash or check, making the adoption fee $450. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal test, deworming, current on flea and tick preventative, and microchip. To ensure the best match for both our dogs and adopters, we require a fully completed adoption application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with the entire household.
