Chestnut is a young, medium-sized terrier and Labrador Retriever mix, about 11 months old and full of energy. He recently traveled from Texas to his foster home in Elburn, IL. His curious and eager personality stands out—he loves backyard zoomies, fetch, tug of war, and couch cuddles. Chestnut is known for being playful, smart, and quick to pick up new commands like "Sit," "Wait," and "Down." He thrives on attention and gets excited around people, occasionally jumping up to say hello, but settles down when acknowledged. He enjoys playing with other dogs and would do well with fellow furry companions, though he'd also love to be your only pet. Chestnut has had positive experiences with small children, though he doesn’t currently live with any. Friendly with both people and dogs, he meets new faces with enthusiasm. He's fully house trained, crate trained, and sleeps peacefully overnight in his crate—or naps if there’s a cozy blanket inside.
