About Jack
Jack is a 30-pound, 6-year-old Chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher mix who packs a big personality into a compact frame. After some tough stretches on his own and a stint at the shelter, Jack can seem a bit cautious when meeting new people outside the home. Give him a little time and patience, though, and his ready-for-anything spirit and famously enthusiastic "jumping for joy" welcome will show up fast. He thrives on play, from romping with dogs his own size to basking in the sunshine or taking car rides. Watching birds, lounging on the deck, and snuggling up for couch time all rank high on his favorites list. Jack is housebroken and solid on a leash, with a handy tip-tap at the door to let you know when he needs out. Evenings find him sleeping soundly in his bed, but he's always ready to crawl in for a gentle morning cuddle. And after his time fending for himself, Jack savors mealtime with his trademark happy hops. He’s happiest as part of a canine pack, with people or fellow dogs around most of the day, so he’s not suited for lots of alone time. A two-story home gives him needed retreat space during thunderstorms. Jack doesn’t enjoy being crated and does best where he can relax with trusted dogs while his humans are out. Jack gets along well with other dogs but not with cats. If you’re after a devoted companion with energy, charm, and a reliable supply of snuggles, Jack is well worth a meet. Questions about Jack

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Jack enjoys outdoor time, but his Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher heritage means he doesn't need a vast yard. Daily walks and a secure spot to sunbathe or watch birds make him content.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher mixes like Jack can be suitable with respectful, older children who understand how to interact with small breeds. His bouncy, affectionate nature tends to win over kids who aren’t too rowdy.
