Honey, I'm home! Honey is a sweet, shy 1-year old Irish Setter Poodle mix with a beautiful colored coat. She weighs around 30 pounds. She was rescued as part of the hoarding case and has been recuperating in her foster home. Honey is good with other dogs and has been coming out of her shell thanks to her foster siblings. She is still learning to be a brave girl with meeting new people and will take some time to get comfortable in her house. She only barks when playing or if there is a stranger approaching her. She would really flourish with another dog in the home. It is unclear how she would do with kids and cats, but likely would be fine with both after she settled in. She is learning to be a dog and would make a great addition to a family. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in New Berlin. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home. Current Adoption Fees Are: $425+tax for puppies to 3 years old $375+tax for ages 4-7 $275+tax for ages 8 and up Bonded pairs vary The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements.
