About Frost

Frost is an older Wooly Husky with an unusually gentle, easygoing temperament for the breed. He’s around eight and has settled into a mellow routine that centers on napping, soft dog beds, and calm company. Submissive and well-mannered, Frost gets along with all other dogs—big or small—and he’s even fine with cats. He is vocal at times and will chime in for attention, but his main interest is people and snuggling. Kids bring out his gentle side, too. He’s completely house trained, stays relaxed when you’re out, and doesn’t need to be crated. Frost’s early years were tough; after likely being kept outdoors, he got hit by a car and developed an old pelvic injury that causes his back leg to buckle now and then. It doesn’t slow him down much, but he does need ongoing supplements and, on bad days, pain medication. Walks are best kept short, he’ll need help getting into and out of cars, and regular check-ins with a neurologist are part of his future. That said, he walks beautifully on leash, is calm in public, and soaks up any attention you give. Despite requiring more medical care than most, Frost’s affectionate nature makes him well worth the effort. His future adopter needs to be committed to this extra care, but in return, they’ll get one of the most lovable, gentle-natured dogs you’ll ever meet. They will also need to set up regular neurologist visits, as maintenance care is essential for his comfort. Click apply to start the adoption process.
