This sweet girl came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of her own. Maggie is a typical Border Collie—smart, loyal, and deeply devoted to her people. She may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she shows her true colors as a gentle, loving companion. Maggie forms strong bonds and will be incredibly loyal to her family. Because of this, she can become protective once she settles in, so she would do best in a home without a lot of new people coming and going. Maggie would thrive in a calm, structured home that understands her breed and can give her the time she needs to feel safe and secure. She is also currently a bit overweight and will need a family committed to helping her get on a healthy diet and regular exercise routine.
