Cookie and her brother Sidney were rescued from a high-intake shelter in Greene County, TN, where overcrowding forces heartbreaking decisions every day. Some were strays never reclaimed. Others were surrendered by their families — and sadly, owner surrenders are the first to be euthanized, as they receive no legal hold. Thankfully, our rescue partner in Tennessee stepped in just in time, saving 15 incredible dogs from the “last call” list.
