About Vern
Vern is a one-year-old pit bull mix with a striking dark brindle coat and warm, soulful eyes. He came to the shelter under tough conditions after likely spending most of his youth confined and underweight. That hasn't dampened his spirit—he's curious about toys, eager for affection, and has a playful, goofy side that sneaks out more each day. Vern is discovering the world and seems heartsick for a family to love him back. He's still learning the ropes, but what stands out is just how people-oriented and affectionate he is. Despite a rough start, Vern holds no grudges. He truly wants to be your loyal companion and makes it obvious that he's happiest surrounded by people. He gets along with other dogs and must meet all family members and canines before going home. Vern is young, sweet-natured, and ready for a real second chance. Vern was born on March 24, which makes him an Aries—expect some bold energy as he keeps growing up. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
