This sweet senior girl has seamlessly adjusted to foster life after her beloved owner entered hospice care, and she’s proven herself to be an incredibly loving, easygoing companion. Jazz is happiest when she’s close to her person—whether that’s curled up beside you on the couch, perched on your chair while you work, or snuggled up in bed at night. She’s the definition of a loyal little shadow and will happily soak up all the affection you have to give, returning it tenfold. With her low energy level, Jazz is perfectly content with short, leisurely walks and lots of relaxation time. She does wonderfully on leash, making outings simple and enjoyable, and she gets along well with other dogs and even cats, though she doesn’t pay them much mind. She’s mostly house trained but may have an occasional accident if not taken out promptly, so a home with someone around more often than not would suit her best. Jazz does great when left alone for a few hours with other dogs and settles in as a calm and quiet presence in the home. Jazz is a gentle, affectionate “Mama’s girl” who loves being close and even enjoys being carried in a sling for extra snuggle time. She will thrive in a calm, adult home where she can fully relax and enjoy her golden years. She’s motivated by both food and love, responds well to a steady routine, and brings a peaceful, comforting energy wherever she goes.
