About Floki

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Floki is an 8-year-old long-haired dachshund with a striking black and tan coat, weighing about 15 lbs. Recently arriving at the rescue, Floki joined us after not settling well with children, especially since some were moving into his previous home. This charming little fellow is house trained and gets along perfectly with both dogs and cats, making him an ideal companion for multi-pet households. In his foster home, Floki has experienced some itchiness, prompting a cytopoint allergy shot; it’s unclear if this is just due to adapting to Oregon’s climate or if ongoing treatment will be needed. He is scheduled for his first dental, where he may lose a fair number of teeth, but this is expected for his age. Floki enjoys the company of fellow dachshunds, though he sometimes shows signs of separation anxiety when alone. For this reason, he would thrive in a home where his family isn’t away for extended hours. Ready to welcome a sweet, loyal dog into your heart and home? Floki can’t wait to meet you! Questions about Floki
