About Jett
Jett isn't the kind of dog who needs to demand your attention. He's the one you find yourself drawn to without even realizing it... and before long, you can't imagine your space without him. Jett once had a home where he was loved, steady, and right where he belonged. When his owner suffered a stroke and could no longer care for him, his world changed--but Jett didn't. He's still the same loyal, easygoing, incredibly good boy he's always been. Jett is a very smart, well-mannered gentleman who already knows his basic commands and understands how to just be a good dog. He's been doing this "dog life" thing for a while, and it shows in all the best ways. He loves playing with other dogs, enjoys getting out for adventures, and if there's water involved? Even better. But he's just as happy coming home, curling up on a dog bed next to his person, and catching up on his beauty sleep. Jett prefers not to be crated--because honestly, he doesn't need to be. He does amazing loose in the home at all times of day, even when his people are away. No chaos, no nonsense... just a dog who knows how to respect his space. He's not the kind of dog who demands attention--he earns it without even trying. The kind of presence that makes your home feel calmer, fuller, and just... better. Jett has officially made his way north and is settling in beautifully while he waits for his forever family. His ideal home would be one where his people are around the majority of the time. He's used to that kind of companionship and truly thrives in it. A retired couple, someone who works from home, or a family with a similar lifestyle would be perfect for him. While we haven't seen any issues with cats, we do think Jett would do best in a home without a feline companion. Dogs, however, are his favorite--and he would absolutely thrive with another dog in the home to play with and keep him company. Now all he needs is a home that's ready for a dog like him: Not a project. Not a whirlwind. Just a really, really good dog.
