About Finley
Finley's story began just like her siblings--born and raised along the side of I-269, where survival was all her mama, Lilly Flora, had ever known. For weeks, Lilly Flora kept her babies tucked away, doing everything she could to protect them. When rescue finally stepped in, Finley and her siblings were brought to safety, given warmth, full bellies, and the chance to grow into the puppies they were always meant to be. And from the very beginning, Finley carried herself just a little differently. Finley is truly something special. The spitting image of her beautiful mama, Lilly Flora, she seems to have inherited not just her looks, but her quiet strength too. While her siblings tumble and wrestle in playful chaos, Finley is content being nearby--taking it all in with a calm, observant nature that feels wise beyond her weeks. She absolutely enjoys playtime and can hold her own, but she doesn't need to be the center of the puppy pile to shine. When Finley is ready to rest, she doesn't fuss--she simply makes her way to the kennel, curls up on her blanket, and settles in like she's been doing it her whole life. She's the kind of puppy who brings a peaceful energy wherever she goes. Finley adores her resident foster siblings, often choosing to lay beside them quietly, sneaking in gentle puppy kisses and soaking up their presence. Like any young puppy, Finley is still learning the world around her--and it's important to remember that puppy personalities can evolve as they grow. But for now, she is the calm in the puppy chaos. She will need a family who can offer patience, consistency, and structure to help guide her as she grows into her very best self. With the right guidance and love, Finley's gentle nature is only going to shine brighter. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?
