Teddy is an Australian Shepherd/Newfoundland mix with a bright, outgoing personality. At about two years old and 57 lbs., he’s full of energy and needs plenty of activity in his day. Teddy’s favorite thing is getting wet—he’ll happily splash around in the pool whenever he can. He’s still learning the ropes with leash training and basic commands like sit, but he’s smart and eager to pick things up if you put in the time. Teddy loves other dogs, especially those close to his size who can keep up with his play style, and he’s considerate in how he interacts with them. His thick, long hair will definitely require professional grooming multiple times a year. Teddy isn’t a fit for homes with cats and will do best with another young, playful dog. He’ll thrive with adopters who are home most of the time and ready to invest in his training and exercise needs. Teddy was found underweight as a stray but hasn’t lost his friendly confidence.
