Meet Louie — a truly special little soul with so much love to give 💛 Louie is a 5–6 year old Poodle mix, weighing about 25 pounds, and he’s ready to find the forever home he so deserves. When he first came into rescue, Louie was missing an eye due to what the vet believes was an old injury. He has since had surgery to repair and close the area, and he’s healed beautifully — now all that’s left is his bright, happy spirit shining through! Despite everything he’s been through, Louie is incredibly sweet and gentle. He absolutely adores people and forms loving bonds with those around him. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him a great companion for a home with canine friends. (Cats aren’t really his thing — he thinks they’re meant to be chased!) Louie looks forward to his daily walks and gets the cutest little burst of excitement when it’s time to go. He also loves simply being near his people, whether it’s relaxing at home or riding along on a car trip — he travels like a pro. At night, he happily settles into his dog bed in his foster’s room and sleeps peacefully through until morning. He’s housetrained with a dog door and has lovely manners in the home. Louie may only have one eye, but his heart is completely full — and he’s ready to share it with a family who will love him just as much as he’ll love them.
