Velmira wound up in our care after she was discovered meowing for help from the rooftop of an apartment building. She’d climbed up, realized she had no way down, and wasn’t shy about letting the world know. With some teamwork from a trapper and a helpful stranger, she finally made her way off the roof and into safety. Contrary to what you might expect with a community cat, Velmira didn't show any feral tendencies—she was calm enough to settle in with us and seemed content with the transition.
