I enjoy being near my people, soaking up attention, and I've even done well with visitors and respectful, supervised kiddos. I've also been able to peacefully coexist with dogs—pretty impressive, right? But here's the thing about me... I'm a homebody at heart. Being in a shelter for a period of time before arriving at The Rescue Crew was overwhelming for me. With all the noise, movement, and unfamiliar people, I felt stressed and unsure, and I tried to protect myself the only way I knew how. When I was approached too quickly or felt uncomfortable, I might hiss, swat, or try to create space. It's not who I am at my core—it's just me saying, “I don't feel safe right now.” Because of this, I'm told that I was going to be euthanized. I'm so thankful for my foster home.
