I’m 3 years old. A German Shepherd. The breed people usually say are loyal, smart, and worth it. But here… I’ve been overlooked. There are so many of us. So many shepherds lined up in kennels, all hoping for the same thing. I tried to stand out. I tried to be noticed. I wagged my tail, I watched every person who walked by… but no one stopped for me. No one chose me. I don’t understand why. I’m a good boy. I take treats gently, like I don’t want to make any mistakes. I walk nicely on a leash, right by your side. I love squeaky toys—I’ll light up just hearing one. And when I met other dogs, I did well. I stayed calm, respectful… hopeful. I even passed my temperament test with 2 dogs. I tried to show everyone who I am. But it wasn’t enough to get me out. I’m still here. Still waiting. Still hoping someone will finally see me—not just another shepherd in a crowded shelter, but me. A dog who wants a home. A dog who wants to belong. A dog who is ready to love someone for the rest of his life. Please… don’t let me disappear without ever being chosen. Come find me. Ask for me.
