About Nora
Just hours from euthanasia at a high-intake LA shelter, Nora, a senior German Shepherd, was given another chance. Saving her was a last-minute decision, and she didn’t realize just how close she was to not making it out. Now in safety, she’s settled and calm, drawing you in with a wise, soulful gaze that only comes from a long life. Patches of gray mark her face and her pace is slow, but her spirit is still strong and quietly dignified. Nora is easy to care for. All she wants is a soft place to nap, gentle words, slow walks, and a person willing to give her comfort for however long she’s got left. Years aren’t a requirement—kindness is. She’s house trained, gets along with dogs and kids, and simply asks for steady routine and warmth. Nora was overlooked at the shelter, just like so many seniors, but she’s hoping someone opens their heart and home to her. For those who have ever considered taking in an older dog, Nora’s your sign. Your home can give her the final security and gentleness she deserves. Your new best friend is just one click away.
