About Amber

Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Amber is a sweet Domestic Short Hair mix with a lovely tortoiseshell coat. She was surrendered after surviving a house fire and has thrived under compassionate care—receiving treatment for fleas, Giardia, Coccidia, and Roundworm while at Monroe SPCA. Amber’s gentle demeanor makes her best suited as an indoor companion for a calm, low to moderately active household without young children under six. She gets along with other compatible cats and, given some time to adjust, will feel comfortable around respectful, cat-friendly dogs as well. To ensure everyone’s happiness, a meet-and-greet with household pets and a home visit are required prior to adoption. Amber is currently residing at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center, where approved adopters can make an appointment to meet her. She comes spayed, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, microchipped with lifelong registration, and is up to date on vaccinations. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
